SMARTSEC / Threat Hub
Know the threat.
Exercise the response.
Threat intelligence for regulated organisations. We turn evidence about relevant adversaries into decisions, test scenarios and practical incident readiness.
Why this matters
Generic threat lists don't tell you what to do next.
An effective intelligence programme starts with your services, exposure and decisions. It identifies adversaries with a credible reason and route to target you, then turns the evidence into scenarios your teams can plan and practise against.
That is the purpose of the Threat Hub: clear intelligence, an explicit assessment of confidence and exercises that reveal where a response plan needs work.
Capabilities
Three ways to move from insight to action.
Targeted threat intelligence
Adversary and exposure analysis tied to the functions and systems that matter to your organisation. Built for a defined decision or threat-led test.
Explore targeted intelligence → 02 / CONTINUITYManaged threat intelligence
Intelligence requirements, analyst-reviewed collection and reporting that stays aligned with changing threats and business priorities.
Explore managed intelligence → 03 / READINESSTabletop exercises
Realistic, facilitated scenarios that test decisions, communication, escalation and recovery before an incident makes them urgent.
Explore exercises →01 / Targeted threat intelligence
Intelligence that a test team can use.
For threat-led testing, the quality of the scenario depends on the quality of the intelligence behind it. We assess your external footprint, relevant threat actors, their objectives and observed techniques, then develop attack paths linked to the functions in scope.
See the TLPT intelligence service →Typical outputs
- Agreed intelligence requirements and scope
- Business and digital footprint assessment
- Prioritised actors, evidence and confidence levels
- Scenario rationale and ATT&CK-mapped behaviours
- Targeted Threat Intelligence Report and red-team handoff
DORA / TIBER-EU
A strong intelligence phase makes the test more meaningful.
We support the intelligence phase of TIBER-EU and DORA threat-led penetration testing, with scenarios designed for the critical or important functions in scope and the red team that will execute them.
Formal TLPT is a controlled, multi-party process. The threat intelligence and red-team roles are distinct; provider independence and the applicable scheme requirements are checked during scoping. A Threat Hub engagement or tabletop exercise does not, by itself, constitute a formal DORA or TIBER-EU test.
02 / Managed threat intelligence
Keep the intelligence useful after the report.
Threats and priorities change. An ongoing service starts with your priority intelligence requirements, then brings relevant developments into a regular cycle of assessment, reporting and review.
The aim is to reduce noise and show what has changed, why it matters to your organisation and what action is worth considering.
Explore managed CTI →What the service can include
- Priority intelligence requirements and collection plan
- Sector, adversary and supply-chain monitoring
- Analyst-reviewed alerts with relevance and confidence
- Briefings for security, risk and leadership teams
- Periodic review of assumptions and coverage
03 / Tabletop exercises
Put the difficult decisions in the room.
We build a scenario around a plausible threat to your organisation, then facilitate a structured exercise for the people who would lead and support the response. Injects force decisions about escalation, containment, customer impact, communications and recovery.
The session ends with a debrief, recorded observations and a prioritised improvement plan. Exercises can be tailored for executives, technical responders or both working together.

- DesignChoose objectives, participants and a credible scenario.
- FacilitateMove the incident forward through timed information and decisions.
- ObserveCapture roles, handoffs, assumptions and decision points.
- ImproveAgree actions, owners and a path to retest readiness.
Who it is for
Built around the organisation, not a generic feed.
Financial services
Threat-led test preparation, important business services and response exercises for complex, regulated environments.
Healthcare
Threat scenarios shaped around sensitive data, critical workflows and the operational realities of care delivery.
Data & technology
Intelligence and exercises focused on platforms, cloud dependencies, suppliers and customer-facing services.
Start with the question
What threat do you need to understand—or prepare for?
Tell us where you are: preparing for a formal test, building an intelligence capability or planning an incident exercise. We’ll suggest a sensible starting point.
